Well after spending the end of my week babysitting for the Graves we had a full and exciting extra-long holiday weekend ahead of us. Friday after finishing babysitting and Bret getting home from work, we headed out to my brother Clint's house for a housewarming party/bbq. There was lots of good food, lots of fun people, and of course Rock Band. Bret and I have many fond memories of starting our first Rock Band with my brother Clint and playing hours and hours of endless songs on the xbox 360. Although this time was a little different with tons of people around we still were able to bring the house down with our amazing rock skills. haha. Jake and Jaime T. became our newest band members. We all had a great time and Ashlyn especially enjoyed putting on a show and haming it up for everyone there.
On Saturday we went over to my really good friend Hailie's (well her parent's) house for swimming and a bbq. Hailie, her husband Josh, and their daughter Sadie live in Cedar City but occasionally come up to Centerville to see her family and friends. We were glad we got a nice day in the sun before the cold came in. Sadie is quite the cutie and Ashlyn enjoyed sharing her toys. Ashlyn has loved swimming lately and we all had a blast!
Finally for Labor Day on Monday we decided to invite our friends Jake and Jaime over for some of Bret's Jamaican Jerk Chicken and food. We ate, played Memory (yes the kids game, it's super fun and challenging, hey don't knock it until you try it!) and Pop 5 (Bret and I's favorite game), had ice cream sandwiches for dessert and then when miniature golfing at Cherry Hill. Jake, the golf pro, beat everyone but we had a great time. Even Ashlyn enjoyed throwing her purple ball around.
So as you can see, a very action packed, but enjoyable weekend! Now it's back to our normal life and poor Bret had to go back to work today:0(
