If you've been wondering where we have been for the last few weeks, we've been having too much fun! Bret finished his first year of Pharmacy school and we've been doing lots of fun things ever since he has been on his summer break.
We finally got to celebrate our anniversary, have all our kids watched by our good friends the Fairbanks, and go out to dinner and a movie. That's right, I finally saw The Hunger Games--so good!
On Mother's Day I was served breakfast in bed, given special treatment ALL DAY LONG--no diaper changes, no having to make meals or deal much with the kids. Daddy took over and mommy got a much deserved break! It was so nice.
Then my birthday was on the 16th and we spent the whole week doing different fun activities! The best was my actualy birthday on Wednesday. I woke up to find the house empty--no kids, no Bret. But a little while late Bret walked in with the kids holding 2 dozen roses, a birthday cake, and breakfast in tow! Later that night we went out to dinner and then came back home where the kids helped me blow out my candles. Oh and my girl friends threw together a crepe party for me and we got to talk and laugh all night long. Best.birthday.ever!
Last but not least, on Saturday we spent the day at the zoo. We took lunch and everything. We spent the whole day looking at all of the amazing animals and having fun. Somehow the kids never got cranky and were perfectly behaved the whole time--it was like my own little birthday miracle. LOL.
I just wish every week was that good!
