We took a long vacation to Utah for one of my best friend's wedding.
The first week we were there was all wedding business! Bachelorette party, planning, rehearsal dinner, reception, etc. Seriously the wedding was absolutely AMAZING!! My friend Ashley and her new hubby are both artists so everything was unique, artistic, and a Pinterest dream lol. I wish I wasn't as busy as I was and could have taken some pictures of everything. But I'm sure there will soon be lots of pictures of the event popping up on Facebook.
The next week we were able to celebrate the 4th of July with family. The kids and their cousins all had so much fun. Avery got a little overwhelmed by all the attention from everyone and for some reason got super clingy and didn't want anyone but me to hold her. She had her moments of bonding with some of the kids though which were super adorable.
Getting ready for candy at the parade. Every bag was chalk full at the end of it.
Let's see how many crappy pictures we can take of the kids attempting to get a group photo...
Fireworks at home-
Around the 4th we were also able to do lots of Summer fun activities like going to the Splash Pad, walking around the Gateway and the new City Creek shopping center, play with cousins, swimming at the Wall's pool, and of course visiting all of our favorite Utah spots-- Crown Burger, Pace's Dairy Ann, the best Dairy Queen in the world (Centerville), In N'Out Burger, The Mandarin, Cafe Rio, DownEast Basics, and Ikea! We also got to visit Bret's old work and say hi to all his friends at Myriad Genetics too. We really missed the cousins who didn't get to come play though!
Grandma is our fave!!
Couldn't live without my...
After multiple loads of laundry and when the lack of sleep started wearing us all down, we were more than happy to head back home.
Oh how good it feels to be back home!!
