Last week Bret had another interview with a potential Pharmacy School in Colorado. He has had many interviews for schools and we are very confident that we will be going to a great Pharmacy School this year... just not sure where we are going yet. After all of the interviews are done with, it will probably just be a stressful waiting game to find out where we will be going. I hope we stay close- especially since most of the schools start in August and I happen to be popping out a baby in July.
NEWAYS we ended up taking a small trip to Colorado for Bret's interview since his family lives there. I have been doing better with my pregnancy sickness than earlier in my pregnancy and due to the fact that we missed going to Colorado for Christmas we thought it was a good idea to try and make the trip now. We ended up having a very fun time. I was sick off and on, but nothing too serious (thank goodness). We got to visit with all of Bret's siblings and their kids, which was great. Ashlyn really loved playing with her cousins staying at Grandma and Grandpa Wynder's house. We spent most of the week in Colorado and then decided to travel home before the big storms rolled in. We traveled 6 hours and were just 2 1/2 hours away from being home when we came to a complete stop in Wyoming just shy of the border. It had just began snowing about 45 minutes before hitting the traffic jam and we were curious as to what was going on. The roads didn't seem to be that bad and we thought we would be able to make it home. Turns out after waiting for some time we turned around and stopped at a truck stop which was insanely overrun with trucks as far as the eye could see. They informed us that there was a multiple car pile up, the roads were horrible, wind was bad, and that they had officially closed the roads from exit 39 to exit 18 to Evanston, WY (about a 45 minute stretch). We had actually been at exit 34 when we stopped but since they told us the roads were not going to open until the next day, we had to start looking for somewhere to stay.
Luckily out in the middle of NOWHERE is this Little America Hotel.
On occassion Bret and I have been known to stop here for this:
But this time we were going to actually stay overnight. The place was completely packed! We tried to eat at their restraunt but after waiting 30 minutes just to be seated by the hostess, we gave up and went over to their little gas station part to scrounge for some food. We had both kids in the room with us, which made for some interesting sleeping arrangements but somehow we made it through the night. The next day we called Wyoming road info and finally got on our way. We made it home safely and slowly with the storm ranging through the Utah Canyons, and man was it good to be home!

I'm so glad for these things:
Interviews are going well! Yay for moving on and up!
Your morning sickness isn't benching you 24/7... i understand though... you still feel like crap all the time, but not like you want to end lives (yours or someone elses!)
You got stuck in Wyoming. No, that's not something i'm particularly GLAD about... but come on... Little America is our little gem. We're proud of those 50cent cones.
You're home safe!!!!
ha ha oh my gosh I stayed at the little america once. When we were on pioneer trek in Wyoming and wanted a fresh shower. I know those ice cream cones anywhere...
